Shahr-e-Kord, Dec 31 -- Iran\'s Islamic Free University (IFU) deputy chancellor in international relations said the university plans to expand its branches in foreign countries.
Mohammad-Mehdi Mirzaei told IRNA here Saturday, the IFU is to increase its branches in Syria, Afghanistan, Central Asian countries like Azerbaijan and also in Tanzania and some other countries in Africa.
He said IFU has currently centers in Brazil, Mexico, Syria, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Kuwait.
Mirzaei went on to say IFU has scientific and research relations with 40 reputable universities around the world as well as ties in the fields of exchanging professors, academics and holding joint conferences.
He added IFU intends to set up \"networking university\", a large network of the world universities.
